Welcome to Takoda’s website!
Hello, and welcome to my website!
Although I don’t have much to talk about at the moment, I am hoping to change that.
This website is currently being refactored. I am learning how to use Emacs and Org Mode, and Org Mode makes exporting to HTML very easy. It is certainly better than typing HTML by hand.
Purpose
Although not fully realized yet, the purposes of this website are:
- To collect resources online, as a sort of public bookmark
- To serve as a space for my own writing,
- such as about the software I use,
- the physical items I have,
- or the things I’ve been doing!
My ultimate goal is to have this website be the main hub of my internet activity, to have a website that I fully own the contents of.
Means of Acheiving the Purpose
I do want to make my website look at least a little presentable, but that is not the highest priority. Accessibility is prioritized instead, and thus I will refrain from fancy CSS and mandatory JavaScript code.
About Me
You can just call me Takoda. The “OS” in my username stands for “operating system.” The reason why I chose “TakodaOS” is because:
- My name is Takoda.
- I like operating systems.
- …except Windows. I prefer Unix-based systems.
- The “OS” suffix distinguishes me from other people who are called Takoda.
Pronouns
In real life, most people just default to he/him for me, and you can do the same if you wish. However, I also accept they/she. Refrain from using neopronouns or it/its.
Hobbies
Video Games
I would consider my favorite video games to be Terraria and Spelunky (despite the fact I’ve never beaten Spelunky before).
Computers
I’m a computer science major, but I don’t really do much programming at the moment.
Drawing
I also draw from time to time. I have some OCs (original characters) I would eventually like to share here.
Contact
Via Discord
This is the quickest and the most informal. My Discord handle is takodaos. You should be able to just send me a message. Do not send a random friend request.
Via E-mail
You can contact me via myusername @ posteo.net, replacing “myusername” with takodaos.
